The jacket weighs less than 12 oz. (.75 lbs., or 340 g for metric system fans), and with it’s 2.5-layer VMG® waterproof/breathable laminate, it will keep you dry and comfortable even in pretty nasty conditions. Designed for warm weather sailing and boating. Lightweight and highly breathable yet waterproof in almost all conditions, and packable so you can stuff it into any bag or lazarette. The hood is different on the men’s and women’s jackets – that’s on purpose and geared to deliver what each asked us for: men wanted easy stowage and a low profile while women wanted a full hood that offers great coverage. Generous pit zips release excess heat. All zips are waterproof. Large, easy access pockets with zipper pull garages to tuck away pulls in a breeze.
