A beautiful and practical example of traditional outdoor weather instruments, this tube thermometer is made of brass and glass. The brass is not plated, painted, or coated, so it won't peel, flake or rust. Within a few months' exposure to the elements, the brass will begin to age gracefully and develop a mellow patina.
This classic Vermont Thermometer measures 2" in diameter, and is 12-1/4" tall. All mounting hardware is included.
All of our thermometers are mercury-free, using a solution of pigmented mineral spirits, which, like mercury, is accurate to within +1/-1 degree.
